Valentine Party Ideas:

A Valentine Tea Party

Great Valentine party ideas for children do not have to be elaborate or expensive. This Valentine Tea Party includes many kids valentine activities so you can pick and choose the ones you like and have time (and energy) to complete.

Just because I've called this party theme a Tea Party does not mean it's just for little girls. The activities included with this party theme are suitable for boys and girls. I just like the idea of a tea party. This party is very well suited for a family activity or a group party.

Either a few hours or a few days before the party let everyone create their own Valentine place mat, tea cup and napkin ring. This way if you are going to use glue it has a chance to dry.

Let everyone set their spot at the table and place some tasty snacks either directly on the place mat or on a small plate. Let the kids drink out of their tea cups and no they don't have to drink tea for it to be a "tea party".

I guess the main reason I like calling this a Tea Party is because it lends itself to being elegant and you can easily focus on teaching manners. Practice using please, thank-you and no thank-you. You can enforce wiping hands on napkins and not on clothes, covering coughs, being polite, etc.

Valentine Party Ideas

If you have time after snacking you could make some of our other Valentine crafts as party favors to take home. Try one or all: Valentine hat, heart necklace, Valentine bookmark, heart bouquet, Valentine magnet

If you wanted to play games instead of crafting, we have a couple of fun Valentine games: Heart Hunt and Pop-Bottle Bowling

The main goal with any party is to have fun. Pick out those activities you think your child and all participants will enjoy.

From my family to yours: We hope you have a fun and enjoyable Valentine's Day.
